PDFs of Core Rules and Compendium

Hey gang,

I don't want to pay AUD$164 to play Kill Team, plus another $55 for the tokens. I'll be buying some of the unique special teams they release ('cause those are cool), but don't want to fork out that much money for some paper and cardboard. Anyone got PDFs of the rules and compendium cards?

Cheers.

Supposedly there are multiple internet services which index billions of web pages to allow users to search for the information they desire through the use of keywords and operators. I would start there.

I fully agree with your sentiments though.

IIRC a typical internet service such as this ones, is russian in origin. Something something that reminds me to Vostroyan 40k.

You could buy 2-4 boxes of models, depending on the models, for the price of the books.

level 1

You realize this practice is one of the reasons why things cost the way they cost, right?

level 2

Not advocating anything here, but: things are worth exactly what people are willing to pay for them. In this case (and for some people) that number is significantly less than $135 USD.

level 2

No, GW's greed and shortsightedness is the reason things cost the way they cost. If they released the rules for free or combined at a reasonable price in a good format, so many more people would be interested in playing, and would pick up a box or 2 of models. Charging $50 for rules and $50 for the 2-3 pages you're likely to use as a first time player on top of the cost of models and peripherals is a pretty steep buy-in for a skirmish game if you're not interested in orks or krieg.

There's at least 4 places in australia where you can get both books for $135 combined. Tokens are cosmetic. Worlds not ending.

level 2

Why the hell are you ok with paying for two books when the previous version had one and was cheaper?

level 2

I don't think $135 is reasonable for those books, so I won't be buying them. I dunno' why everyone is being so melodramatic about it, I'm just engaging in the market. They overpriced themselves for a portion of their audience, it's not that big a deal :\

Cheers for this.

The PDF about Men's Craft in the drive actually helped me more though. Their Norwich group is right by my flat. Gonna go along and check it out. Life's been pretty lonely since I got clean and it's got me down a lot. That's why I got into Warhammer again. I try not to think about the fact *I'm (edited to add that) building an army for imaginary people I'm assuming I'm going to be able to meet and play with in the future 😅
